Art is a journey of self-exploration and challenge. The outcome of my work is both challenging and liberating and provides a process for self-confrontation to stretch myself to achieve ever higher personal goals with each piece of work. Art is a magical experience and a passion, when I am creating, time ceases to exist.
My studio is in Omaha where I work mostly with acrylic paints on canvas, wood and museum board creating work inspired by my life experiences. Although this most often manifests itself in abstract work, I also have a strong interest in abstract and realistic figurative work.
I like to share my talent with others and have been teaching art to children for many years, helping them express themselves artistically using all manner of techniques and mediums. After returning to Omaha in 2006, I taught special needs children and adults at Madonna School in Omaha until 2017
My work is featured in private and corporate collections across the USA and England. I have exhibited in galleries and participated in juried and non-juried shows in San Francisco, Sonoma & Napa counties in California as well as in Nebraska.
