My husband and I have lived outside Louisville on a farm for nearly 30 years. We raised our four children here. We now have two beautiful granddaughters. I was inspired to begin painting when I was about ten years old by my Grandmother, Sara. She was a gifted self-taught artist. Her kitchen never smelled like cookies, but of oil paints and turpentine. I Loved that and wanted to be like her. She encouraged me to practice and study painting and drawing books.
Over the years I painted not only on canvas, but also murals and faux finishes in homes. I have displayed my work in The Louisville Art Gallery and The Sandstone Art Gallery in Louisville. I find inspiration from the beauty of nature, my flower gardens and rural country side.
